I had such a great time at Sheri and Adam’s wedding which was held at the Crystal Lake Golf Club in Burrillville, R.I.
It is customary for me to arrive before the bride arrives at the venue and I had enough time to bring in my equipment, get organized and ready my cameras for her wedding. My second photographer was there, also and ready for the fun.
This was perfect because when Sheri arrived we were ready to capture her as she walked into the club house with a big smile on her face. With that smile and a friendly wave she went through the door, to her getting ready room, to prepare for the most important day of her life.
With her bridal party all present the festivities began in the bridal suite. I could hear her laughter and chatter making it known to anyone nearby that she was about to be married to the man of her dreams. At that moment, I could tell this was going to be a fun wedding to photograph.
After putting her wedding dress on, jewelry and final adjustments Sheri needed help putting on her sneakers (Converse) yes, you read it right, she wore a very special pair of Converse sneakers
While all of this was going on, Adam and his men were down at the bar doing their own kind of preparations. There was one moment that took Adam away from his groomsmen. This was when he took his Mom for a short walk for a Mother to son chat. This presented a unique photo opportunity for us. It’s not every wedding you see the groom and his Mom going for a stroll to chat just before he marries the woman of his dreams.
When Sheri was ready, she was driven over to the wedding pavilion on the other side of the lake by her Dad. Adam along with his groomsmen, took a ride on the pontoon boat across the lake. I was with Sheri taking photographs of her, her maids and the guests who were all seated and anxiously waiting for the ceremony to start.
The wedding pavilion with an amphitheater which overlooked the lake and provided a beautiful background for the ceremony photographs.
It was a beautiful ceremony and when it was finished Sheri and Adam were Husband and Wife. Sheri wanted us to take all of the wedding party and family formals there. The setting sun provided a great backdrop for some romantic artistic shots of just the newlyweds.
Sheri, Adam, Sheri’s two sisters and Adam’s best man and I took the boat across the lake to get the celebration started, again this offered some unique photo opportunities. It was certainly a celebration to remember.
Sheri’s two sisters wrote and sang a song toasting their younger sister and I never laughed so hard at a wedding before.
Sheri and Adam's cake was spectacular and made by Penny Eagleton of Cakes by Penny
Her spectacular flowers came from Lucille’s in Uxbridge, Ma.
I also want to mention Tracy Dixon Hill, event coordinator at Crystal Lake Golf Club. She did a fantastic job keeping everyone on time and organized. I highly recommend Crystal lake for your wedding venue.
